Log into HackerAI
Open the sidebar and click your profile icon at the bottom
Select Account
Click Cancel Subscription
Confirm the cancellation
From the desktop app
Open HackerAI
Click the settings icon in the sidebar
Navigate to the Account tab
Click Cancel Subscription
Confirm the cancellation
From the Stripe billing portal
Log into HackerAI
Open Account settings
Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe billing portal
Select Cancel plan
What happens after cancellation
Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You can continue using all paid features until then.
After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan.
You will not be charged again after cancellation.
Your chat history, notes, and files are preserved — you won't lose any data.
Cancellation timing
To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date. You can find your next billing date in Account settings or in the Stripe billing portal.
Team subscriptions
If you are on a Team plan, only the team admin can cancel the subscription:
Log into HackerAI
Open Account settings
Click Manage Billing to access the Stripe billing portal
Select Cancel plan
Team members who are not admins should contact their team admin to request cancellation.

Can I get a refund?

Can I resubscribe after cancelling?
Yes. You can resubscribe to any plan at any time from the pricing dialog in HackerAI.
I can't access my account. How do I cancel?
If you can no longer access the email address associated with your account, reach out to us via our support chat and provide:
The email address associated with your account
The last four digits of the payment card on file
The date of your most recent subscription payment
We'll locate your account and cancel the subscription on your behalf.
Will I lose my data?
No. Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or any data. Your chat history, notes, and files remain accessible on the Free plan.
If I delete my account, is my subscription cancelled automatically?
Yes. Deleting your HackerAI account automatically cancels any active subscription. You will not be billed again. Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
