The PentestGPT desktop app brings advanced penetration testing capabilities directly to your computer, allowing for seamless integration with your workflow.

System Requirements

  • macOS: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or higher with Apple Silicon (M1 or better)

  • Linux: AMD64 architecture

Installation Steps

For macOS:

  1. Visit the PentestGPT downloads page

  2. Click "Download for macOS"

  3. Once the download is completed:

    1. Open the DMG file

    2. Drag PentestGPT to your Applications folder

  4. Launch PentestGPT from your Applications folder

  5. Sign in with your account to get started

For Linux:

  1. Visit the PentestGPT downloads page

  2. Click "Download for Linux"

  3. Once the download is completed:

    1. Open terminal in the download directory

    2. Make the AppImage executable: 

      1. chmod +x PentestGPT.AppImage

    3. Run the application:

      1. ./PentestGPT.AppImage

  4. Sign in with your account to get started

    Note: On Linux, you can optionally move the AppImage to a convenient location (e.g., ~/Applications) and create a desktop shortcut for easier access.
